epocrates Epocrates

More than 1 million active members, including 50% of U.S. physicians, rely on Epocrates to enable better patient care by delivering the right information, when needed. Epocrates enables physicians to review drug prescription and safety information, select health insurance formularies for drug coverage information, perform calculations like BMI and GFR and access medical news and research.

 

MedscapeMedscape

 A unit of WebMD, Medscape offers prescribing and safety information for drugs, procedure videos, a medical calculator and access to continuing medical education (CME) materials. It includes a bunch of medical reference information, such as specific disease pathology and procedure information. It has the most obscure diseases listed, and its super comprehensive.

 

MedotateMedotate

Designed and developed by Vigyanix, Medotate (Medical + Annotation) was born out of an idea to help clinical researchers and doctors annotate patient charts, electronically and automatically sync annotation to their choice of application. It helps users to create basic patient records, annotate human body, take pictures and notes and store them securely.

 

MedcalcMedcalc

It is a medical calculator app having an exhaustive list of formulas, scales, scores and calculations. Lots of attention has been put into creating an efficient workflow while developing this app. The Pro version provides full iPad support and allows users to save some patient info as well.

Doximity is the largest medical professional network in the US, with over 40% of physicians as members. Its a professional network for physicians, offering them opportunity to connect with other doctors and comes loaded with HIPAA-compliant faxing, text messaging and emailing features.

Its an app that allows users to find useful, up-to-date medical information quickly. Lanthier can be integrated with MedCalc which is an added bonus. It’s an internal medicine app but its a must have for doctors and even surgeons.

Medical professionals can register on this app and can answer their clinical questions anytime, anywhere. It is a reference tool that comes with evidence based recommendations, mobile-optimized calculators, CME tracker and comes with print and email option.

 

AliveECGAliveECG

AliveCor’s AliveECG app is for use by medical professionals  to record and review single channel electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm strips. It requires the AliveCor Heart Monitor device to be attached to mobile phone for taking ECG recordings.

 

VisualDxVisualDx

Logical Image’s Visual DX is a support and reference tool for physicians and includes 1,200+ diagnoses and 25,000+ medical images to aid diagnosis and therapeutic decisions. It has more than 90,000 peer reviewed digital medical library of images. All ages, skin types and disease variations, based on severity and stage, are represented. It can aid physician in diagnostic accuracy and improve patient outcomes.

 

Bluestar DiabetesBluestar Diabetes

BlueStar makes living with diabetes easier. It doesn’t just help track glucose level but also offers automated clinical coaching and behavioural algorithms driven by real time patient data. It enables healthcare professionals to configure specific parameters and can help extend care beyond clinic visits.

 

ResolutionMDResolutionMD

ResolutionMD is a medical viewing app, enabling instant access to radiology diagnostic images and reports from mobile devices.
