CES 2016 : Digital Health Technologies Disrupting How Care is Delivered [Infographic]

2015 may be remembered as a year of Healthcare reform – a year full of  new health and fitness devices, mHealth Apps. We saw a huge influx of new entrants jumped in on mobile health wagon with flooded the market with wearables and  activity trackers  A Gartner, Inc. report forecasts that “274.6 million wearable electronic devices will be sold worldwide in 2016, an increase of 18.4 percent from 232.0 million units in 2015 and set to surpass in 2017.”

At CES 2016, there was no major breakthrough announced in digital health but nonetheless we saw some major improvements from last year – A slew of companies targeting chronic care. Health devices are becoming invisible — disappearing from our wrists to become an extension to our body.

Digital health at CES, 2016 was about evolution – sensors, mobile applications, wearables are becoming invisible, meaningful and connected. As digital health shows no signs of slowing down, other areas of our lives are also being impacted – From beauty to fashion, homes to automotive, drones to robotics. All focused on improving our health and wellness.
